Northbeam Retail Dashboard

Home  /  Portfolio  /  Northbeam

Two software developers work collaboratively on a coding project in a modern office setting.

Project overview

Forty stores, one truth.

Northbeam's regional managers planned stock from emailed spreadsheets that were already stale. We built a live retail dashboard pulling point-of-sale data from all 40 stores into one replenishment view — exceptions first, noise filtered out.

The challenge

Stockouts hiding in spreadsheets.

Each store exported its own format, managers reconciled by hand, and bestsellers went out of stock for days while slow lines gathered dust. Head office had no same-day view of what was actually selling.

Approach & solution

Exceptions first, noise filtered.

We normalized all POS feeds into one warehouse, then designed the dashboard around exceptions: stockout risks, overstock and transfer opportunities surface automatically each morning. Managers act in minutes, not Mondays.

  • Same-day POS ingestion across 40 locations
  • Transfer suggestions between nearby stores
  • Role-based views for managers, buyers and HQ
